Rev. Dr. Grace May is a minister at large with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and recently launched a non-profit organization called WOW! (Women of Wonder, Inc.) to empower women to fulfill their God-given dreams. A Chinese American born and raised in New York City, she has a doctorate from Boston University School of Theology, an M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a B.A. in English from Yale University. Grace’s interests include tasting international cuisines and worshiping with brothers and sisters from around the world.

Ann Chen is a student at Fuller Theological Seminary getting a dual degree in Intercultural Studies and Theology & Ministry. On the side, she is conference chair of the World Christian Conference (WCC) and does volunteer staffing with InterVarsity. Ann has a BA in Urban Studies & Planning from UCSD, a Master’s in Education, and six years’ experience teaching middle school. She attends Epicentre Church, and enjoys prayer and worship, playing piano & guitar, and discussions about church ministry. (more…)

Sharon Kim is associate professor of sociology at Calstate Fullerton, a mom of two boys, ages 11 and 15, and author of Faith of Our Own, a book about 2nd generation spirituality in Korean American churches. She is heavily involved in ministry, as her husband is the senior pastor of Garden Christian Fellowship. In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending time with family, reading good Christian books, and traveling.
Who have been key and influential leaders/role models for you, and how have they shaped who you are today?
Many strong, Christian women have had an impact on my life. When I was an undergraduate, I attended Berkland Baptist church, and one of my mentors there was Rebecca Kim, who was a great Bible teacher and a great role model. (more…)

Grace Haah is the wife of Kevin Haah, founder and lead pastor of New City Church of Los Angeles. She has a B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College, a law degree from Cornell, practiced law in upstate New York for a few years, and later worked in publishing before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In her spare time, Grace enjoys playing the piano and completing crossword puzzles. (more…)

Christy Hyun is the pastor’s wife at Gospel Mission Project Church in Santa Clarita, CA, a mom of four kids, and a licensed marriage-family therapist in private practice. Born in Korea and raised in southern California, she received her BA at Boston University and attended Fuller Theological Seminary and Western Seminary. She loves meeting new people and helping God’s people to become not what people tell them to be, but what God intended them to be. Her favorite activity is hanging out with her favorite people — her kids and her husband.
What are your ministry passions?
I have always had a heart for women and equipping them in all aspects of womanhood. My ministry passion is to translate into our daily lives the idea of knowing God and being known by God. (more…)

Yonnie Cheng is a missionary in Taiwan who works with the rich and the poor. She is currently pioneering bases for Iris Ministries in Taiwan and Thailand, as well as starting an Iris international relief organization. Born in Taiwan, she immigrated to New Jersey with her family at the age of six. She has a masters in science, and worked as a physician assistant for two years before going on her first missions trip to Africa. Yonnie loves Asian food and snowboarding, and she is a painter and documentary artist. (more…)

Jessica Chen is a full-time doctoral student at Loma Linda in Marital & Family Therapy. She has an MFT degree from Fuller Theological Seminary as well as a BA in Design Media Arts from UCLA. Her favorite food is “niu rou mien” (translation: beef noodle soup), and her favorite hobbies include calligraphy and spending time with Madeleine, her miniature schnauzer.
What are your ministry passions? How did you discern these passions in your life?
While growing up in a Taiwanese American church, I started mentoring sisters and seeing a lot of things I didn’t know how to address from a purely biblical point of view. (more…)

Hannah Lee is currently serving as Children’s Pastor at Korean Church of Southwest Los Angeles. She also participates in a ministry called InnerChange in downtown LA, and works part-time at a missionary organization called KIBI (Korea-Israel Bible Institute). She recently received a masters degree in the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.
